I was in a birthday party of my aunt. While I was eating my buko salad, this 2nd degree aunt (first cousin of my mom) approached me and we had a small chat. Here are some excerpts of our unwanted conversation.

Aunt: Wow. Nurse ka na _______! Congrats! Maswerte talaga ang mapapangasawa mo. Ang bait na,matalino pa.
Teka, may jowa ka naba?
Ming: Wala.
Aunt: Bakit naman?
Ming:(Kumakain ng buco, as if busy)

At sumabat ang tsismosa naming kapitbahay.
Kapitbahay: Itong batang 'to masyadong silent type.
Aunt: Oo nga eh
Ming: (silent. smile lang)
